Years later, still no news on a 6th installment .... Let the dust off begin. And it's been a while since i've got my Suikoden on. Combined completion 356 hrs, weapons forged to the max, and characters lvls around 60. Hero's being over 70 :P This time around I sampled n maxed out other characters through training n hr grinding. A few gaining new found respect Lu and Richard being prime examples.
Back to basics, being a vampire saves on healing. Eyeball rings are your friend. Drain Runes can do wonders with multiple hits n critical attacks. Magic Absorb helps magic users keep spells in stock. While Crazed, Killer, and Poison Runes can give a weaker character a bit more, if not extra bite. Don't forget to use your skill sets, training is your friend.

Finished off Suikoden Tierkries last week. Between ST and work, I didnt get as much accomplished as previously planned. I'll try to correct that next week, even if I'm playing Dragon Quest 4 >?<
Suikoden Tierkries Rundown:
For those hoping for a sequel or prequel, Tierkries is neither. ST takes place in its own parallel universe, lacking the runes that we all love and enjoy. Which brings me to the first con, this one does not like the mark of the stars magic system. A bit annoying, switching spells in and out that lack the uniqueness and variety of da runes. The weapon system could have used some variety as well. Unlike previous games, you can give characters different weapons. A nice addition, even if some weapons are limited to a handfull of characters. Also amoung the new additions are an arena for lvling up, a job posting system, and wifi. Still havent played with that option yet. I could go on, but lets face it. Tierkries is all filler, and thats not all a bad thing for Suikoden fans waiting for the next chapter in the series. "You never know till you try"

In game related news finished off Crystal Chronicles: My life as a King. Took around 174 gamemode days to complete, thats with me goofing off half the time. Getting a feel for the game and no online shopping for expansion sets, I ended up ranking with a B. Round two taking place after completion of Amorous Professor Cherry >3

Suikoden V
In older news, finished off Suikoden V around 230 hrs, combined gameplay. Lvls around 60 and weapons forged to the max. This time around, "as with past conquests of games in the series" I used the Berserker method of attack. In the end not making much difference from previous attempts at the Sun Rune. With my gameplay style I try to use different characters and runes with each replay, my Harem grows in power :P

Third times the charm ... more like overkill >?< The Great Tree got its ass handed to em in no time flat. More effort into equipment combos and less on magic, sorry Jeanne. Well I did keep Mizuki, always a supporter of da Shrike Rune users. Also managed to complete the majority of Equipment Sets this time around, da horrors. Always remember to unequip your favorite armor before the Troy Dual. Which brings me to a delima, I'm kind of in the mood to replay Suikoden 1. Guess da Soul Eater will have to wait a little while longer >?<

In old news, finished off Suikoden 5 on the replay. Combined completion time at 161:10, with character lvls around 60 and weapons forged to the max. The character selection varying though out the game. Putting less emphasis on Jeanne, Lelei, Isabel, and Sagiri. X.x While pimping out Cathari, Hazuki, Lun, Kisara, Nikea, Bernadette, Lorelai, and Zerase. In most cases, just better choices in runes, armor, and stats. :P The exception being the Phero Rune, the abilities of the rune never presenting itself. In addition to the Condemtion Rune; interesting why I didn't notice the simularities between Bernadette and the hero of Suikoden 4. Interesting indeed ... o.-

In movie related news, found a somewhat decent cam rip of ghost rider, "if there is such a thing". rofl Considering the conflicted reviews of friends, I rather enjoyed it. The horrors of work. In the latest of news; finished suikoden 3 on the replay. A pain in the ass without my players guide, "which does exist" and the usual daily grind. As to where mine went, i have no clue, "it haunts me =_=". When it comes to players guides i usually get one as a last resort or to help in the collecting of secrets. :P As usual with suikoden games weapons forged to the max, level around 55-60. I usually have a couple characters with fury runes attatched by the end of the game, no such luck this time. X.x And on that note, started suikoden 4 on the replay o.- b

Finally finished Suikoden 5. The only complaint at this point is that i wish Konami would put a little more effort into the endings of the series. Same old with the ancients; Viki sneezes and vanishes, just like the rest in there own respects. rofl Would be nice to have a little more info. >?<

To many diversions "no pause button", plus i leveled up a couple characters before the final ruins.
